Heritage Christian University Grading System
Heritage Christian University (HCU) has a comprehensive grading system that accurately reflects student performance and encourages academic excellence. Using a 4.0 GPA scale, letter grades from A+ to F are assigned specific quality points.
For example, an A+ corresponds to a score of 98–100 and earns 4.00 quality points, while an F represents a score below 60 with zero points. To calculate your Grade Point Average (GPA), divide the total quality points by the total credit hours attempted.
Outstanding students are recognized each semester through academic honors.
The Dean’s List includes those with a semester GPA of at least 3.5 and no grade below a “C,” while the President’s List honors those with a GPA of 3.8 or higher and no grade below a “B.” Both require enrollment in at least 12 credit hours and good standing with HCU.
Heritage Christian University (HCU) allows students to repeat courses with a “D+” or below grade, counting only the last grade toward the GPA. This grading system measures achievement and motivates students to reach their highest potential.
