University of California Berkeley (UCB) Grading System
UC Berkeley employs a letter grading system (A, B, C, D, F) with plus/minus modifiers to reflect student performance. These grades correspond to specific points: A being the highest (4 points) and F the lowest (0 points), which are utilized for GPA calculation.
For undergraduates, passing grades are A, B, C, D (minimum C-), or P; for graduates, they include A, B, C (minimum B-), or S. Failing grades comprise F, NP, or U.
Incomplete grades are denoted by I, with a resolution deadline, or IP for courses extending over multiple terms.
Undergraduate students have the option for Pass/Not Passed grading, while graduates may choose Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading for specific courses.
