University of Central Punjab (UCP) Credit Hours

Credit hours refer to the value assigned to each course at UCP (University of Central Punjab), indicating the time and effort required to complete that course.

Different courses may have different credit hour values based on complexity and workload. The credit hours earned for each course are essential in calculating the CGPA and GPA.

The degree is conferred at the University of Central Punjab after completing at least 130 study credits successfully with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00.

Regarding credit hours, the University of Central Punjab (UCP) has a policy for transferring credits from other institutions. The transfer credit must be comparable in scope and content to a UCP course or meet the same competency level as a course offered at the University of Central Punjab (UCP). Transfer credits have to come from a regionally accredited and HEC-approved institution.

Only those courses and credits will be considered for transfer in which the applicant has obtained grades ‘C+’ or higher and ‘B-‘ or higher for undergraduate and graduate programs, respectively. Credit hours against accepted courses will appear on the UCP transcript without grades. Maximum credits transfer will be 50% of the credit hours required for the degree program the applicant has sought admission to UCP (University of Central Punjab).
