University Of Alabama Grading Scale
At the University of Alabama, grades range from A+ to F, each with specific grade points. For instance, an “A” earns 4.0 points per hour, while an “A-” earns 3.67 points. Pluses and minuses adjust the points slightly—by 0.33 in either direction.
If you get an “I” (Incomplete), you need to resolve it within 12 months, or it will turn into an “F.” The pass/fail option is available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors for elective courses.
While a passing grade doesn’t affect your GPA, failing the course does. This option is limited to four courses or 12 credit hours during your time as an undergrad.
