How to Calculate your VTU CGPA by Calculation
The student’s earned credits and associated grades from each semester are considered by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) when calculating the CGPA. The credit points assigned to each grade and the total credits earned by the student for all semesters are considered by the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) calculation procedure. For CGPA calculation, divide the entire number of credit points by the total number of secured credits.
For example, suppose you completed four courses—English, Math, Physics, and Chemistry—and received the following grades and credit points:
Maths (3 credits) = B+ (7 grade points)
Physics (4 credits) = A (8 grade points)
Chemistry (3 credits) = B (6 grade points)
English (2 credits) = C (5 grade points)
To figure out your CGPA:
(3 * 7) + (4 * 8) + (3 * 6) + (2 * 5) = 63
Credits totalled equal 3+4+3+2=12
CGPA = 63 / 12 = 5.25
Consequently, in this instance, the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) would be 5.25.
